We started at March Moved to Whittelsea then over to the ECML at Lolham the highlight of the day was Advenza 66841 working back to York thanks to Chris Joines for the tip off.

Here is a collection of the hanson traction grids at Wansford all together i could not get any pictures of 56128 as it was in a bad place but i have got pictures of the other three.
It maybe the last time they will all be together as i was talking to the guys there last night and it looks like the locos are going to be very busy over the coming months.
56311 and 312 are off back to Washwood Heath this morning(6-6-09)

Had a great day around east anglia started off by catching the train from Cambridge then down to Ipswich for an hour then of up to Norwich and then the best part of the day a drag with a DRS 47 to Great Yarmouth.

I went out to get some shots of tornado this morning but i missed it by seconds.
So i stayed round Offord crossing on the ECML then i had a tip off that 60059 was on the 6M34 Crawley to peak forest.
So i shot over to Sharnbrook Nr Rushden which is on the midland mainline to get some pics.

50008 Thunderer arrived at the Nene Valley railway today stuck between 56311 and 56312.
Now owned by Hanson traction 50008 was fired into life at Orton Mere after it arrived onto NVR metals she then pulled 56311,56312 and a class 14 back to Wansford were she will have her overhaul finished and be returned to the mainline for railtours.
As you can see she needed a good clear out.

I have been to Lolham crossing this morning to catch tornado as she ran from Kings Cross to Edinburgh racing a 1940's jag for a top gear show in June this year.

I have had a long weekend in South Wales.
It started with Saturday morning and a early start at Margam i had gone for the Robeston to Westerleigh tanks.
As i arrived at Margam the corus shunter was pulling loaded wagons into the yard.
I then saw a train of murco fuel tanks leave the yard the penny then droped it was the train i was after so in the car and a 3 mile drive to Pyle for the shot which i got only just then is was back to Margam for a walk round the sheds(With Permission)
In the afternoon i went to Stormy bank between Pyle and Bridgend then back to Margam.
And Sunday was a few hours on Cardiff station.

The two shunters based at Botson docks in Lincolnshire 03112 and 08704 do not get out much now days.
The work has fell off now for rail traffic into the docks.
Today the pair came out for a survey to be done on Spalding road crossing so i had some spare time so i took some pictures(with permision)as they took a run off the docks in to the goods yard.

Just had a great day at the premier diesel line in Norfolk.
The team there put on a great event 56040 Oystermouth looked great in its new livery well done boys.
And it was great to photograph 37425 again brought back memories from south wales.
